What is CPC training?
The CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) is a legal requirement for all bus, coach and lorry drivers. It signifies you have the necessary knowledge and safety skills to operate these vehicles without causing risk to yourself or those around you.
CPC training involves a simple case study test and a practical demonstration test – very similar to driving examinations you’ll already be familiar with.
Once you’ve passed for the first time, you’ll need to complete 35 hours of periodic CPC training every 5 years for it to remain valid – but you can complete this at a schedule that works for you.
