Data & Privacy Policy Statement
As a Candidate being trained by HGV Training Network we require you to read and approve our GDPR Notice outlined below by completing the form at the bottom of the page.
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (2018), HGV Training Network is committed to processing data fairly and lawfully. This relates to data collected about our employees, suppliers and customers.
That’s why, as a CANDIDATE we promise to:
- Only hold information about you that is relevant and necessary for the services we supply you
- Keep your data secure and once it is no longer needed, destroy all records
- Be transparent on what information we hold about you, who it is shared with and why
What information we collect and how it is stored?
Once a booking has been made with us, we will collect certain information from yourself and/or employer for the purpose of carrying out our business with you. This information may include:
-Full name, address and contact details
-Who you work for/have been booked with us by
-Date of birth
-Driving licence number
-National Insurance Number
-Licence category booked for
Who we share information with and why?
As part of your booking with us, it may be necessary for us to share your details with companies outside of HGV Training Network’s services.
These organisations may be:
-Approved driver medical companies (for the purpose of obtaining documentation to support a provisional licence applications)
-Pearson VUE Professional Testing Centres (for the purpose of booking Theory Multiple Choice, Hazard Perception and CPC Module 2 tests)
-Driving & Vehicles Standards Agency (for the purpose of booking practical driving and CPC Module 4 tests)
-Our training partners and instructors that are carrying out the training for you.
Social Media
We are proud of all our students who obtain additional licences and have trained hard to get them. On occasions our instructors may ask to take pictures of you whilst training or once you have passed your driving test. HGV Training Network will share these pictures on its social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+. We may also use the images for promotional material or for use on our website in future.
We will not take any pictures without your knowledge or consent. By allowing us to take a picture you agree your consent and that of your employer/booking agent (if applicable) that the image is the property of HGV Training Network and can be used in the capacity detailed.
You have a right to contact us at any time after consent and or photo is taken and published and ask for it to be removed and destroyed.
Marketing Preferences
We feel its important to keep our customers up to date with news, whether it be from us, the DVSA or other industry organisations or to contact you to remind you of upcoming expiry dates of your CPC hours, but we understand that once your training with us finishes you may prefer not to receive such news and that’s why we will give you the option to opt in or out to this service.
We only keep data for a year after training completion so we will contact you after this time to see if you still wish to remain on our marketing system.
You can change your preference at any time by contacting us.

There are many rights that you have regarding your personal data, including seeing what data we hold on you and requesting to see this at any time.
