Depending on the position you accept once you complete your PCV training, you may take on jobs such as a public bus driver or a private-hire coach driver – which can affect your day-to-day duties.

• Helping passengers on and off, including using mobility aids like ramps

• Driving adults with additional needs or the elderly to community outreach programs or hospitals for appointments 
• Carrying school children to locations outside of school premises, including swimming lessons or extracurricular activities

Many of these positions are available on a professional or voluntary basis – allowing you to complete them as part of, or to supplement,  your main job or even in your spare time if you want to give back to your community.

Most coach drivers will have the added benefit of spending more time with their passengers, as they can drive them to a range of destinations, from day trips to the coast or even coach holidays which cover a few days.
